Monet's Garden

The immersive art experience MONET’S GARDEN is a fantastic 360-degree journey through the history and works of one of the greatest artists of the past century!

The unique exhibition concept is staged with state-of-the-art multimedia technology, which allows visitors to immerse themselves completely in the world and famous artworks of the Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840-1926).

Elaborate installations and projections, combined with music, create rushing worlds of color and make the paintings come alive and tangible in a way never seen before. For the viewer, illusions transform into reality.

THE ARTIST'S GREAT WORKS IN AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENTIAL JOURNEY

To fully immerse themselves in the world of the French painter, visitors are guided through three experience rooms.

Each room is a highlight on its own and provides the traveler not only with an insight, but also with new experiences and new perspectives on Monet's life, his work and his masterpieces.

1 | THE STUDIO

The first stop on the tour is the studio of the founder of Impressionism, the place where his great works were created. Monet's blindness (1922) and the destruction of his paintings (1925) provide the setting for an in-depth look at his already eventful life and development.

A new perspective on the artist's work is offered, immersing the audience not only in his paintings, but also in his perceptions, techniques and ways of conceiving his art. Monet's central themes of light, shadow, wind, and the element of water as a reflective surface are integrated and woven into an overall poetic concept through state-of-the-art technology.

2 | The garden

From the studio, the tour moves on to the staging of Monet's garden, the world-famous garden landscape in Giverny in Normandy. Here, real and digital perception merge, so that the visitor is literally drawn into Monet's garden by the interactive installation. Just as in Monet's paintings, the entire space here glows with vibrant and organic color particles. This extraordinary garden landscape inspires the visitor to take a short stroll across the bridge and invites him to linger. The wall projections change interactively with the visitors - an experience that is both physical and poetic.

3 | The showroom

In the showroom that follows, the visitors can then fully immerse themselves in Monet's world-famous paintings, in order to truly experience them and dive into the poetry of world-famous masterpieces such as: "The Cape of la Héve - at Low Tide," "The Lady in the Green Dress" or "The Studio Boat."

The water lily paintings, the culmination of Monet's creative work, are presented as the finale of the story and the spirit of the great master of the Impressionism.

The entire room becomes a gigantic water lily pond, creating the illusion of an endless whole. The visitor is immersed in the paintings, immersed in light and sound and becomes part of the scenery – the artworks interact with the viewer and art becomes poetry.

So if you are very sensitive to scents, we want to caution you about this.

We regretably announce that Monet’s Garden will no longer be coming to Malmo this Spring. We have been obliged us to give up our dates at Malmo Massan due to the Eurovision Song Contest. If you have already purchased a ticket, your tickets will be refunded to the bank account used at the time of purchase. The refund is expected to take up to 14 days. If you have any questions about your refund, please contact the ticket provider, Eventim.

We apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this causes, both to those who have already purchased tickets and to everyone else who had planned to visit our wonderful immersive experience. We hope to be able to return to Malmö soon, but in the meantime, you still have the chance to experience Monet’s Garden in Stockholm, where the exhibition is open until 31 March 2024.
